A bit of history.
Everything began in Sicily. Growing up in a large Italian family, Emilio had access to
acres of land filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, developing a great sense for quality produce. With his parents and siblings, Emilio emigrated
from Sicily to Belgium in the 1970's for better work opportunities that Northern Europe had
to offer for the Meditteranean countries. Since an early age, Emilio did many jobs (student jobs & full-time jobs)
in top rated hotels and restaurants. He started from scratch and worked in every
possible position. This is where, after highschool, he decided to start hospitality studies. He developed
an immense passion for the culinary art of authentic cuisine and his wonderful food creations.
After many years of culinary school in Belgium, he, along with his brother opened their first restaurant in 1988
in Brussels - Belgium, called San Tucci.
Emilio got married to Anna-Maria in 1988, who emigrated from Bologna, Italy to Bussels, Belgium.
Being foodies and travellers, Emilio developed a taste for cuisine from
every Italian Region but also infused his favorites worldwide ingredients in his own creations.
Every single of his creations since 1988 has been a festival for every customer's pallet.
The Santucci Family has been successfully running this amazing restaurant ever since and earned their reputation to this day.
The reputation brings our costumers back from afar for our authentic cuisine and atmosphere.
Emilio & Anna raised their family of three children, giving the education of great food experience from around the world.
Two of their children, Selena & Eugenio Santucci, decided to follow the family walk in Hospitality Service.
Selena was studying languages in highschool, but decided and finished her collage degree in Hotel Management.
Eugenio followed the exact same path as his father. He has been trained and worked in the family business from his first student job.
He also worked in other restaurant in Brussels to realize his own and different experiences in culinary arts.
Even the youngest son, Davide, attented 3 years of Bakery and Pastry school and Gianluca (Selena's husband)
got his degree as traditional and handmade Italian Gelato maker and Belgian Chocolatier. Food is more than passion for this family.
